At Offshore Custom Sportfishing Rods our focus is to produce quality, handcrafted NZ made fishing rods that are a pleasure to fish with.  The company has been successfully producing quality rods for the NZ market for over 30 years.  When the original owners retired in 2014 we were able to step in and keep this iconic brand moving forward with the guidance of Leon and Barbara. 
We are both passionate about our fishing, having fished extensively throughout  Northland in a wide range of fishing disciplines, from spratfishing off the wharf with the kids, to chasing marlin on light tackle we love it all.  There is nothing better than helping someone to catch their first fish.
Offshore Custom Sportfishing Rods is all about being proud Kiwis, and producing great NZ made products.  We support our local blank manufacturers, CTS in Auckland and Kilwell in Rotorua.  We also import some blanks from Calstar and Rainshadow from the USA.  We use quality components from Fuji, Alps and Aftco for all our rod builds.
WARNING:
There are just the two of us, which means that sometimes you might have to wait a while for your rod, good things take time.
